Goodreads Summary: Ainsley came into my life in a flurry of vibrant colors, lighting my world up when all seemed lost.

It wasn’t our quiet nights by the creek or stolen kisses surrounded by a sea of cotton that saved me.

It was her.

She was my comfort when life threw one ugly tragedy after another at me.

Until she dealt me the greatest blow.

Now, abandonment, betrayal, and death darken every corner of my life. Anger and hurt burn bright where love and trust once lived.

But, now, she’s back. Sure, she’s changed, but I see through it—straight to her heart.

My rating: 5 Sunshinin’ Stars!

My Thoughts: This debut novel from Amie Knight was a hit! It was one of those knocked out of the ball park hits.I felt this book in my heart and soul.

I have a soft spot for first love stories. They make such amazing books when a lead character is suddenly reunited with an old flame.

Ainsley and Adrian were best friends. She was the sunshine in his life, according to him atleast. She kept him safe and took care of him all throughout their childhood. Anisley, Adrian and Lori were inseparable. At home, at school.

When they hit their teens, Lori, who was Ainsley’s cousin, started to get herself into trouble.  As that was happening, Ainsley and Adrian were falling in love. But when tragedy strikes, Ainsley’s runs. She leaves behind her mom and Adrian and her best friend Miranda. But when she returns home after four years of college and runs into Adrian again, things get heated.

Like I said….I LOVED this book. It is one of those that stay with you long after you read the last page. Check it out! 16110309_1765595280427918_1804074821974228992_n
