Goodreads Summary: They say nothing compares to your first kiss,
But our first kiss was orchestrated for an audience.
Our second kiss…that one was REAL.
He cradled my face like he was terrified he’d f*ck it up.
He stared into my eyes until the air buzzed.
Soft and slow, full of sighs and little laughs,
He inhaled me like I was the finest Belgian chocolate,
And he’d never get another piece.
A nip of his teeth, his hand at my waist…
And I was lost.
I forgot he was paying me to be his fake fiancée.
I forgot we weren’t REAL.
Our kiss was pure magic, and before you laugh and say those kinds of kisses don’t exist…
Then you’ve never touched lips with Max Kent, the hottest quarterback in college history.

Get ready for breathtaking kisses, dreamy football players, a heroine who yearns for the guy she can’t have, and a hero who will do anything for the girl he loves…They say nothing compares to your first kiss,

My Rating: 3 Roll you Eyes Stars

My Thoughts: Okay, when I signed up for this blog, I always said that I would be honest on my thoughts of the books that I read. I do not get paid for do this, I do not get ARC reads, I do this solely on my love for reading. I am sure there isn’t even a handful of people that read my reviews. But if by chance, someone actually checks this out to find a good read or to know what books to toss aside, I want to let them know the truth, my truth anyways. Because your opinions may or may not be different than mine.

So when going into this book, I found it on Facebook. I was instantly intrigued by the cover model, take a look below and tell me if you wouldn’t feel the same. 🙂

So yeah, I saw that beautiful man on the cover and said, “You know this is going to be a good one”. Well…not so much.

I honestly wanted to give up. I have looked at other reviews and ratings and I feel like I am in the minority, because it has great reviews and ratings.

First off, these people are in college and maybe that is what kept my rating low. I haven’t read many books with college kids in them these days because I am not in the age range and it doesn’t quite apply to my life.

So, we begin the story with Sunny, she was seventeen and had gotten her self into some trouble. She had stolen her father’s car and was running away as fast as she could, only she wrecks. She finds her self going over an embankment and falling into a river or some kind of body of water.

Within moments, someone was pulling her free from the wreckage. A man who wants to help her, only she runs away from him, refusing help from him or EMT, because if she went to the hospital they would have to call her father because she was still a minor.

Three years pass and Sunny moves into an apartment complex near her college. Her next door neighbors a football players, one of them being QB1, Max Kent. One morning as she is standing, looking out the window she sees a obviously still drunk chick doing her walk of shame. All of a sudden, the said drunk girl sneaking out of Max’s house gets in her car and completely rams into Sunny car!

Pissed, she runs next door and bangs on the door threatening to call the cops. Max comes out and offers to give her a ride to class, because as it turns out, they have the same first class. Apparently, both of their exes are also in that class as well.

You know, it starts off pretty good, but when they get to the school are start making plans to fake a relationship, that’s when it starts getting a little lame for me.

Eventually, we find out that Max was the guy that pulled Sunny out of her car.

Truthfully, there were pages that I just skimmed, because I was bored. I hate DNF’s on my list, but this almost happen with this one.

It felt unrealistic to me. Why was it so important for them to fake a relationship in order for Max to win Heisman? I am not a the biggest football fan out there, but my husband follows it quite religiously so I know things. Never once has I ever worried about the Heisman contender’s fiancee’s or whatever else. The only thing that matters is how good they are at throwing that ball.

Like I said before, you may have different opinions on this book, but it just wasn’t for me.

On to the next read!

Kisses!
