Published Date: April 1st 2017

Summary: Just because you’re through with your past, doesn’t mean it’s through with you.

Margaret Beringer didn’t have an easy adolescence. She hated her name, was less than popular in school, and was always cast aside as a “farm kid.” However, with the arrival of Courtney Carrington, Margaret’s youth sparked into color. Courtney was smart, beautiful, and put together—everything Margaret wasn’t. Who would have imagined that they’d fit together so perfectly?

But first loves can scar.

Margaret hasn’t seen Courtney in years and that’s for the best. But when Courtney loses her father and returns to Tanner Peak to take control of the family store, Margaret comes face-to-face with her past and the woman she’s tried desperately to forget. The fact that Courtney has grown up more beautiful than ever certainly doesn’t help matters.

My Rating: 5 Strawberry Stars

I received this as an ARC for an honest review.

Strawberry Summer by Melissa Brayden is a mixture of a coming of age story to a story about adults trying to get their lives together.

Margaret or Maggie, has lived in the same small town her whole life on her families strawberry farm. A small town with all the same faces, until one day a beautiful blonde walks through her classroom door, right as she is giving a speech on none other than President Abraham Lincoln.

Courtney Carrington is a department store heiress from Chicago with Tanner Peak roots as it happens to be were her father grew up and her grandmother still lives today. Her father’s dream was to have a department store in his hometown, so they uproot and move for the opening of the store.

When Courtney and Maggie lay eyes on each other it is instant chemistry. However, they are both so difference from each other.

When tragedy strikes, they find it hard to keep themselves together and struggle. Five years later, they meet again and what happens is quite wonderful.

SUMMARY:There’s no such thing as too much fun…

Incredibly, immeasurably, categorically false.

Try: It’s all fun and games until someone ends up in the tabloids.

Kade Edenfield was rock royalty. If every rock god in history gathered for dinner, his seat would be at the head of the table. He was that good. His band was elevated to a level few ever reached, and he was having the time of his life.

Until one misstep too many landed him on the front page of every gossip rag around the globe, and the band’s label decided to saddle them with a PR priss whose sole mission in life was to suck the fun right out of his.

He wanted her gone.

Until he realized he just plain wanted her.

Aubrey Taylor didn’t ask to be assigned to babysit a band full of troublemakers, but she wasn’t given a choice. Wanted or not, she intended to fix the mess they’d made. She’d do it quickly, efficiently, and then she’d get the hell out of there. Unfortunately, after meeting their openly hostile singer—the one with the notoriously menacing stare—it was clear she was in over her head. When Kade made a point to challenge her at every turn, unafraid of using intimidation to get her to back down, she found herself in even deeper trouble.

While she ‘officially’ resented and feared him, their power struggle secretly turned her on.

She desperately wanted to win their little standoff, but what was she supposed to do when she realized she wanted him even more?

I received an ARC for an honest review.
Rockstars…ya gotta love em. But sometime they tend to get into trouble and that’s when PR is called in to clean up the mess.
That is exactly what happen in this book. The band Thrill of the Chase screams scandal.
Brooding twin brothers Kade and Kane, along with three other hot rockers and you are in for a treat!
Audrey thought she knew exactly what she was getting into when she walked on board the tour bus. She was there to clean up the mess and prevent them from happening again, only its not that easy.
Her life had been uprooted not long ago with tragedy and she just wanted to recover. With her best friend and ex therapist being the little bug in her ear telling her to go for it doesn’t help.
Chemistry with both Kade and Kane! But Kane was just a friend….right? And Kade? How could she fall for someone like him? He was a troublemaker…or was he?

Summary: Three estranged brothers.
One runaway girl.

Smy-thoughtsweet and sexy Noah soars as Spartans’ basketball shooting star. Overly protective, bad boy Nathan has beaten the devil and believes he’s invincible. And angry and bitter Jake cannot move past losing his unit in Afghanistan. After suffering personal tragedies, the three brothers barely speak to one another.

Until River.
River is damaged.
River is dark.
River is sensual and sexy.

When she runs away from her abusive foster home and notorious past, she crash-lands into Noah’s arms. She should feel safe with him, but she is attracted to guys more broken than she. And his brooding brothers Nathan and Jake wait patiently to catch her when she falls. Her relationship with each jeopardizes the precarious balance of their troubled family, and she will either mend their wounds or break their hearts.

Kiss the Boys is psychological romantic suspense, containing explicit sex and covering dark subject matter. This is the second book in the Lost Girls Collection. The first book is Blackout (steamy psychological thriller) by Chris Myers. Each of these books is a standalone.

My Rating: 2 NOPE Stars

I received this ARC for an honest review, and honest is what you get.

I wanted to like this book. The beginning started out well, it really did. I liked the unknown of what was going to happen between River, Nate and Noah. I also very much liked that River was UK Wildcats fan, for obvious reasons.

Nate and River connected instantly because of their backgrounds. Nate was VERY creepy to me. I like big brooding guys, but this was just too much. His art was messed up and much later when you discover the reason he creates what he does, it will leave you scratching your head.

Noah, the normal twin, the basketball star. Well, he was right from the beginning head over heels with River. He was just recently in a relationship and the consistency with that was strange. It was back and forth with him and his ex.

I assumed there would be a huge twin brawl over who gets the girl, but it just continued like both boys were “courting” her.

But then you meet Jake, a third brother, the oldest actually. He was a war hero, recently returning home from battle after he lost a leg or two in war. (There were inconsistencies with the lost of Jake’s limbs, it goes from one to both and then back to one.) He was depressed and had PTSD from war, which was understandable. He locked him self in his room all day and dear River was the only one that would make him listen and come out

The pheromones that River must emit must be like a cat in heat, were every tomcat in the neighbor can smell it and come to the scent for a taste. I rolled my eyes a ridiculous amount of times because really, three guys in love with this one young, eighteen year old girl instantly. I was just waiting for the Dad, Jake SR, to jump on board the River train also. I also expected a ménage à trois or maybe a foursome if that is a thing. Thank God, it didn’t occur.

Another reason as to way this was hard to read/hard to believe was the fact that the mother, Margie, just opened up her house and her life and her sons to River right when she walked through the front door basically. Margie, the mother, just let her come in and take care of her PTSD ridden son even though she was seventeen and had even taken care of anyone like that before. I understand that she probably felt sorry for River and her past but Margie moved the girl into the house on day one and was like “Here, I have three hot sons, take your pick.”

And then when the plot “thickened” so to speak, I was sitting there reading this shit storm as it was occurring and thinking to myself “Really? After a week, Margie loved River THAT much?” It was the same with everyone really. They all loved her so much.

A week and BAM, I love you.

This just wasn’t it for me.

Goodreads Summary: Small town girl Sadie continues to live in the city after finishing university. She finds work as a journalist which ultimately leads to her passion of writing romance novels. Sadie becomes an accomplished author of many New York Times best sellers. At the beginning of her success she is picked up by Levi, a literary agent to represent her. They become close friends and business associates over the years. What happens when Sadie writes her latest novel about the love she has for him? Will she publish it at the risk of losing him as an agent and best friend?

My Rating: 5 Stars!

I was asked by the author to read this book and to give an honest review. This is the first book by the author and I have to say…she nailed it!

The story follows Sadie an author living in Toronto as she writes her next big hit and realizes that she is and has been in love with her literary agent Levi. She was experiencing a bad case of writer’s block when the idea hits her. She will write about the love she has for Levi. The only thing is, Levi is in a relationship and she isn’t sure how he feels about her.

I think there is a time in everyone’s life were they like/love someone and you are unsure if they feel the same. And you are never sure if the timing is right or if you should take the leap.

The characters in the book are easy to relate to and are very well developed and likable. You will want to be their friend and heck, it will make you want to read Sadie’s books!

This book will make you laugh and will make you feel good. The only downside is I wish is was longer! I wanted more of what happens at the end. We may hear more of the story because this is a series! Can’t wait to read the next one!

Check this one out, you won’t want to put it down!

Goodreads | Amazon

Goodreads Summary: *An Amato Brothers x Rixton Falls standalone crossover*

It was New Year’s Eve, and I should’ve been ringing in the night with cheap champagne and bad decisions at home in New York. Instead I found myself holed up in some hotel room in southern California.

But I wasn’t alone.

I was in the company of a fellow stranded traveler by the name of Cristiano. We spent one night together – forced into the same hotel room by the snowstorm that cancelled our flights and changed our lives.

His dimpled smile, panty-melting kisses, and charming wit were a temporary distraction from the chaos of the day. But as soon as morning broke, I set my sights on getting home. I rented a car, mapped out my 2,749 mile journey, and packed my bags.

Only Cristiano insisted on joining me. He needed to get home, too. His best friend was getting married on Saturday. And he refused to let me go it alone. It wasn’t safe, he said.

Trekking across country with an alluring stranger was certainly one of the more adventurous moments of my life. Falling for him was certainly one of the most daring. But uncovering his secrets? That was the most challenging. And the truth I learned . . . would shatter us both.

My Rating: 5 STARS!!

My Thoughts: Well…she did it again! Winter Renshaw is becoming one of my favorite authors. This book was beyond amazing. I devoured it. Honestly, nothing I can say in this review is going to give it justice.

It was snuck in at the end of Cold Hearted and I swear I have never been happier about it. This puts you through all of the feels.Daphne is in the airport and has just gotten the news that her flight was been cancelled because of this huge snow storm on the East Coast.

She is rushing how because her twin sister is getting ready to give birth and she has to be there. Cristiano is in the same dilemma. He is trying to get to New Jersey for his best friends wedding.

Daphne decides she is going to rent a car and drive the length from California to New York. Cristiano refuses to let her go alone, so he tags along.

This is apparently a cross over over two different series that Winter Renshaw has going. I went into this book unaware of both of the series, however now I am interested in checking them both out!

Check this one out! You don’t want to miss it.

Goodreads Summary: I wish I could say our meeting was happenstance.

I wish I could say we took one look and we just knew.

I wish I could say falling for him was the best thing that ever happened to me.

But none of that would be true.

Rhett Carson was as cold as the ice on which he skated. He was as calloused as the hands that shot the goals that won world titles. He was also damaged. And broken. And he didn’t know it, but I knew all about him.

I knew why he was so bitter and angry.

I knew why he was so coldhearted.

But I didn’t know why I allowed myself fall in love with him, and I didn’t know why I couldn’t stop… even when he told me to.

And that’s when everything changed.

My Rating: 5 Hockey Pucks

My Thoughts: I read this one back on February 5th and I rated this 5 stars.I have read a few other reads by this author that I rated 4 or 5 stars also so it wasn’t a shocker that this one would follow suit and be just as good.

This book had quite a bit of angst and heartbreak. Ayla has traveled to New York City to bury a brother she never even met. Bryce Renner was mad that his father had an affair and he seemed as though he didn’t want anything to do with her.

Following the funeral, Bryce’s teammates reached out to Ayla and offered to take her out for drinks. She agrees and learns the truth about Bryce’s death. The man who held stories and information about her brother, Rhett Carson, probably wasn’t going to speak to her because it seems that Bryce died with his fiancee.

The next day, she finds herself side by side with Mr. Rhett Carson after her college room stood her up. Soon they are making plans for no strings attached sex. Only Ayla knows that truth, that were strings attached before they even had their first kiss.

She hides the fact that Bryce is her brother because once they start their agreement, she feels she is into deep. When he finds out every thing goes to hell in a hand basket quick.

This book goes through all of the emotions. You get hooked easily in the beginning because you want to know more and more. Then you fall in love right along with Rhett and Ayla.

My Rating: 5 I love you the most Stars!-

My Thoughts: This books was Amazing, yes with a capital A. Holy smokes. Not to mention I am pretty sure Toren is now on my book boyfriend list.

Kenzi is the daughter of two famous rock stars. Born to them when they were only teenagers. Her parent’s enlisted the help of their best friend Toren Grace to help take care of Kenzi. Toren agreed, after he is forced to leave the band to help watch his Goddaughter, while her parent’s are touring.

Toren and Kenzi seemed to have had a connect from the very beginning of her life. He was the only one she would stop crying for and he was the only person that could get her to go to sleep. So it was only natural that as she grew up, they would have a close bond.

Kenzi was on the edge of seventeen. She was nearing the close of her high school year when she starting seeing some things differently. Mainly, Uncle Tor.

The atmosphere of their relationship had started to change. But on the night of Kenzi’s prom, is when they both realized something was happening between them, with a near kiss. After that night the tension keeps building, until eventually it is unavoidable.

The author does an amazing job at building this relationship. You feel the tension, you feel the heartbreak and even the lust! I love it when you can feel how much two characters love and care for one another.

This book is not an easy one, but you know that there will be complications. The first one being Asher, Kenzi’s father. That was the number one concern when they acknowledged their feelings. Both  Toren and Kenzi were worried that Asher would hate the idea of the two of them. Mainly because she was basically raised calling him her Uncle. But to her, he never felt like family, but her best friend.

The number two concern was of course the age difference. Kenzi had just turned 18 when their romance begins and Torn was 32. They worried what other people would think or say. But in the end you just can help who you love. Who makes your heart flutter.

I am sure that a lot of people, when going in to the book ,will think this is a taboo topic. That is it forbidden and may it is. But once you start reading it and can feel the love that they have for one another. To get a glimpse of how their relationship has always been, you will accept it.

I’m telling you this, if you don’t read this book you will be missing out.By far one of my favorites! It is Kindle Unlimited!!
